What is an IICRC-Approved School?

The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. The mission of the IICRC is to establish and advance globally-recognised standards and certifications for the inspection, cleaning, restoration and installation industries. The IICRC, with industry-wide participation, certifies and develops certifications and standards for inspection, cleaning and restoration. The IICRC also serves as valuable consumer referral source for certified technicians and firms.

As a certifying and standards-setting body, the IICRC owns no schools and has no instructors on staff. Rather, to fulfill its education commitment, the IICRC approves schools and instructors that apply to and meet the criteria set forth by the board of directors. Coach8 is an Australian IICRC-approved school.

Much of the practical training in our new ASD course will be conducted in the flooded ASD house to provide a relevant and realistic experience that students will understand and remember. This new interactive training facility will help you to gain authentic experience in activities such as setting up equipment, drying water-damaged contents and structures, monitoring the drying process, and more.  See the ASD page for a course description, and check the Schedule page for upcoming scheduled IICRC courses.

Construction of the Coach8 IICRC-Approved ASD House

Construction of the ASD house for the Applied Structural Drying (ASD) Technician course at Coach8 was a massive undertaking. This new interactive training facility had to meet strict specifications to obtain IICRC approval, but the attention to detail has paid off.

This is the first ASD house to be built and approved in Australia in more than a decade. Australian restoration professionals can now obtain ASD certification at home, eliminating the expense of travelling overseas for training. See the ASD page for a description of the Applied Structural Drying Technician course, and check the Schedule page for upcoming scheduled IICRC courses.
