Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS)

Prerequisite: IICRC Certification in WRT

The IICRC-approved Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS) course is designed to teach restoration personnel how to successfully handle the challenges of drying commercial, industrial, institutional and complex residential water-damaged structures. The topics that are covered include: preparing your business for commercial drying; project management and administration; health and safety issues with a particular focus on microbiology; unique site challenges of commercial drying; advanced drying and psychometrics; and operating commercial restoration equipment. This course is taught by a highly qualified and experienced instructor, and will allow the participant to obtain IICRC CDS certification at the end of the course. IICRC WRT certification is a prerequisite for this course.

The Coach8 WRT class is held over a 5-day period encompassing 32 hours, not including meal breaks and exam periods.

Earn 2 IICRC Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for attending this course.

Lunches and snacks are provided by Coach8.

To receive your certification you must pass an IICRC examination. If you intend to complete the exam, there is a test fee of $70.00 payable directly to the IICRC on the final day of the course prior to receiving your certificate. The exam is completed in the classroom after lunch on the final day of the course.
